DR. Andrey Manov, MD

Dr. Manov is a Board Certified Internist in the USA with scores in the top 5% on his certification and re-certifications. He is also Board Certified in European Union in Endocrinology and Metabolism.

From 2005- 2008, Dr. Manov was the Vice Chairman of The Department of Medicine and from 2008- 2018 he was the Chairman of the Department of Medicine in JPS Hospital, Fort Worth, TX. Under his guidance the Department grew from 30 to 70 providers, we established the first Observation Unit in JPS Hospital, Fort Worth, TX as well as the first in Texas Medicine Psychiatry Unit. We started during that time the Center of Cancer Care as well as we lead the hospital district successfully and become a comprehensive stroke center.

From the beginning of his professional career he was involved with Academia as an Assistant and Senior assistant professor in the Department of Endocrinology in Aleksandrovsk University Hospital ,Sofia, Bulgaria from 1984-1993. He is Board Certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism in European Union and I have taught more than 200 Medical students in Medical Academy, Sofia Bulgaria between 1986-1993. He has taught in endocrinology on the Medical Wards as well as in the classrooms medical students -3-4 year and specializing Endocrinology Physicians in Bulgaria, Europe.

Dr. Manov moved to the USA in 1994 and after completion of Internal Medicine Residency become Academic Teaching Ward Attending in the largest in USA and 3-d rated by quality in the last 6 years Family Program in USA in John Peter Smith Hospital/JPS/hospital, Fort Worth TX where he taught hundreds of Family practice residents in Internal Medicine from 1997- until 2018.

Dr. Manov also taught Internal Medicine residents and Hundreds of Students from the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, TX and was appointed in 2017 as a Professor in the Department of Medical Education in the TCU and UNTHSC, School of Medicine, Fort Worth, TX.

Also, he was appointed as Associate Clinical Professor from 2011- 2016 and Affiliate Professor from 2016-2018 in UNTHSC, Fort Worth, TX and has received 32 publications in Peer Reviewed Journals in USA, Germany, France and Bulgaria, presentations etc.

He is also a Course Director for Endocrinology/ Reproduction for the 2nd year Medical Students from UNTHSC, Fort Worth, TX- 2017-2018.

During his time in the Department of Immunology, London Medical College, London, England in 1991-1992 he described for the first time the adhesion molecule CD44 over expression on snap frozen sections and cell cultures from patients with different autoimmune thyroid diseases. He gave throughout the years presentations, CME lectures and Ground Rounds on a International level, National level and Regional level in the area of Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus type 2, Pathogenesis of metabolic syndrome, Treatment of HTN , Treatment of Lipid abnormalities among others. Dr. Manov was a leading investigator for the JPS hospital, Fort Worth, TX on the 2- research trials. He had 2 presentations on the research Appreciation day in UNTHSC, Fort Worth, TX in 2011 and 2013.

He was given the title Fellow of American College of Physicians in 2009 and elected a member of Editorial Board of Journal of Medical Case Reports, 2015
